2021 Resolution (one of them)

2021 begins and, of course, some resolutions had to be made.

I’m coming back to the website and will try to make more use of social networks, something I’m pretty bad with.

As Julie says in Julie & Julia about her cooking blog project, in which she sets out to make 524 recipes in 365 days:

Masterñam Gestión e Innovación en Cultura Gastronómica

Julie: I could have a blog. I have thoughts. […] But I’ll probably need a deadline.

Eric: Why?

Julie: Because otherwise it’ll be like everything else I do. ‘Cause let’s face it, I never finish anything.

Eric: Hey.

Julie: Well, it’s true. You know why I think it is? ADD.

Eric: You have ADD?

Julie: Yes. […] I’m just saying, a deadline would be good.

Eric: So a deadline. “I love deadlines. I love the sound they make as they go whooshing past”. Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Julie: I mean it.

Eric: Okay, so a year, or so.

Julie: A year? This thing weighs like two pounds. I have a full-time job. Sometimes I don’t get home until 8:00 or 9:00 and… It’s crazy. It’s crazy. Is it crazy?

Eric: Yes. Yes.

If a date is needed, let’s set October 29.

What will happen in 274 days? Well, apart from me turning 33, I hope I can have something to share with the world. Something that contributes to how we eat. In the shape of a prototype, or as a campaign on a crowdfunding platform.

“The Challenge, 365 days, 524 recipes. The Contender, Julie Powell. Government employee by day, renegade foodie by night. Risking her marriage, her job, and her cat’s well-being, she has signed on for a deranged assignment. How far it will go, no one can say.”
